Do you work with my existing ISP and modem/router?

Yes. We can optimize what you already have, replace weak links, or design a new stack. We’ll coordinate with your ISP if provisioning or bridge mode is needed.

Will a single access point cover my whole house?

Sometimes—but walls, foil-backed insulation, and layout matter. We measure actual signal and jitter, then place one or more APs where they’ll perform best instead of relying on marketing ranges.

Can you fix bufferbloat and random lag spikes?

Often, yes. We test queueing under load, tune QoS/Smart Queue Management, and segment noisy devices so your calls and gaming don’t get crushed by a 40 GB update.

Security & Hardening

What does “hardening” include?

Baseline firewall rules, admin password rotation, firmware updates, remote access review, VLANs for risky/IoT devices, and a short written summary of changes.

Do you install VPNs?

Yes—site-to-site for offices/outbuildings, and user VPNs for secure remote access. We’ll explain when a VPN helps and when it just adds latency.

Can you monitor my network 24/7?

We offer optional monitoring under our Service Plans. You’ll get outage alerts, health checks, and priority support windows.

Smart Home & Cameras

Do you support Google Home, Alexa, Apple Home?

Yes. We can keep it vendor-agnostic where possible and make sure critical automations still work if the internet drops.

Cloud vs. local NVR—what’s better?

Local NVRs avoid recurring fees and keep footage on-site; cloud is convenient but depends on upstream bandwidth. We’ll size storage and retention to your needs.

Farm & Field

Long runs, weather, and power—without drama.

How far can you push Wi-Fi between buildings?

Point-to-point links routinely cover hundreds of yards to miles with clear line-of-sight. We’ll survey, check trees/elevations, and choose proper hardware and mounts.

Can you trench or run conduit?

We don’t trench, but we’ll specify burial depth, conduit type, and pull boxes, then coordinate with a local contractor if needed.

Scheduling, Billing & Warranty

Simple projects, clear invoices, and gear that’s supported.

How do estimates and billing work?

Small jobs are hourly with a clear not-to-exceed number. Larger installs get a fixed project quote. You’ll always approve before we start.

Do you charge for travel?

Inside our core area, travel is included. Outside city limits we bill a fair mileage rate as listed on our Service Area page.

Who owns the equipment?

You do—unless you choose a managed plan with rentals. We register warranties to your email and leave you with admin credentials.

Do you offer emergency or after-hours service?

Yes. After-hours rates apply. Service Plan clients receive priority windows and discounted emergency response.
